Any undergraduate (M.B.B.S., B.D.S., B.A.M.S., B.H.M.S., B.O.Th.,
B.P.Th.) or postgraduate student, Interns, Super specialty
students, can register as a member of Sevankur. Medical officers,
teaching staff in medical colleges, private practitioners and even
non medico can join this activity as Karyakartas. Sevankur is
entirely nonpolitical organization connected with medical
students. Sevankur is not restricted to any caste, creed or
religion, it is open for all.
We insist on frequent interaction with role models and actual
exposure visit to different areas. Learning process is enhanced in
group activity and with practical experience of organizing the
event. We believe in ‘group discussion’ and ‘group decision’.
Everything is decided in a group by the participation of students.
Attending Sevankur meeting on time inculcates time management,
taking up small responsibility in event inculcates team spirit, is
our experience of working with students for last 15 years. One day
program like lecture by or interactive interviews of eminent
personalities from different walks of life, Workshops on soft skills
development, Different competitions like debate, street play, essay
etc. Exposure visit to tribal areas of India. Visit to various
socially oriented projects. Long tours like visit to North-East and
Jammu & Kashmir etc. Watching a movie in group Conducting a book
review Two days residential camp of Sevankur. Residential Camp of
Sevankur Lectures on different topics Group discussion on various
current subjects and their presentation by students Games,
Entertainment, Cultural programs of students Interviews of social
workers Many camps were organized at different places in Maharashtra
i.e. Nagpur, Amaravati, Akola, Aurangabad, Sevagram etc. Normal
participation in any residential camp is around 200 to 300 boys and
